PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize the wider range of the article for absorption. SOLUTION: The article has a liquid-permeable surface layer 2, a spillage preventing layer 3 and a body fluid absorbing part 1 provided between both the layers. An absorbing material 25 having the function of absorbing and holding the body fluid and the function of shrinking in contact with the body fluid is disposed in the body fluid absorbing part while having a fixed part 30 fixed on the article and a free part 31 movable with respect to the article. Moreover, at least an absorption control material 40 is provided and has a liquid-impermeable range enough to block the contact between the absorbing material 25 and the body fluid at a body fluid receiving part Z as a determined range in which the body fluid discharged initially permeates the surface layer while the liquid-impermeable range reduces toward the side of the free part 31 from the side of the fixed part 30 of the absorbing material 25 at each discharge of the body fluid.
