<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely calculate a pulse rate by surely removing a body motion component occurring inside a living body from a pulse wave component even when the body motion component has no periodical characteristic. <P>SOLUTION: A pulse wave detection part has a pulse wave sensor 13, and outputs a pulse wave detection signal to an MPU 24 functioning as a body motion component removing part. A three-axis acceleration sensor 12 detects acceleration corresponding to the body motion influencing the behavior of venous blood, and outputs it to the MPU 24 as a body motion detection signal. As the result thereof, the MPU 24 removes the body motion component included in the pulse wave detection signal based on the body motion detection signal. A pulse rate calculation part calculates the pulse rate based on the pulse wave detection signal after the removal of the body motion component, and displays it on a liquid crystal display device 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
