<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently recovering high-purity methane gas from a raw material gas such as an anaerobic fermented gas of an organic material in which carbon dioxide and moisture at a high concentration are present over a long period. <P>SOLUTION: The method is to separate the methane gas from the raw material gas in which the carbon dioxide and moisture at the high concentration are present by a PSA (pressure swing adsorption) method. In the method, the following steps are successively carried out. An adsorption step of feeding the raw material gas to a column filled with a porous material composed of a complex composed of a metal and an organic material without carrying out a pretreating step of removing the moisture from the raw material gas, adsorbing the carbon dioxide and moisture which are readily absorbable components and recovering the methane gas and a step of decompressing the column in which the carbon dioxide and moisture are adsorbed and desorbing the readily adsorbable components and carrying out regeneration. Thereby, the methane gas can efficiently be separated and recovered without lowering the separation ability over the long period irrespective of the presence of water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
