PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support data migration by enabling discrimination of a removable storage device accurately and in a short time, in a computer system to which two or more storage devices are connected. SOLUTION: A garbage file database is generated by registering discrimination information of a garbage file. It is determined whether the discrimination information of a file agrees with the garbage file condition or not by acquiring discrimination information of file stored in two or more storage devices connected to a host computer and using the garbage file database. If the file does not agrees with the garbage file condition, it is determined whether migration to a different storage device has been completed or not. If all files in the storage device agree with the garbage file condition or have completed migration to the different storage device, and the discrimination information of this storage device is displayed, and it is discriminated that it is a removable storage device.
