PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that effective utilization of a storage region is required in a receiver to be used for data broadcasting. SOLUTION: When the following five conditions are fulfilled: (1) it is judged that a received module is not contained in a component under viewing (N in S102), (2) compression is not confirmed from a Compression Type descriptor (N in S104), (3) it is judged that the received module is not a medium for compression encoding (N in S106), (4) a data size of the module exceeds a predetermined value (N in S108), and (5) the compressibility is lower than or equal with a predetermined value (Y in S112); a compression storage judging part compresses the module and stores it in the storage region.
