摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a fluorescent lamp capable of easily shaping the wall thickness of an end part of a closing part and curved surface of a glass tube more uniformly than before, without adding new process. SOLUTION: Curved surface of closing part can be easily shaped by utilizing a thermal expansion of the air in the glass tube caused by the heat generated when shaping the closing part of the glass tube end part. As the operation is carried out by rotating the glass tube while the closing part is in a softened state, almost uniform curved surface of an outside closing part (outer wall) and an inside closing part (inner wall) of the closing part can be shaped, and generation of unevenness or distortion of the wall thickness at the closing part can be prevented.
