PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording/reproducing device capable of executing high-speed saving processing in the defective sector of a data recording medium such as an optical disk or the like. SOLUTION: When present in an area for accessing an optical disk 2, a system control unit 18 designates the address of a first replacement sector for executing reading in a spare area as a replacement side as an address AS1 for a signal processing part 21, designates the sector address of the next replacement sector of a last replacement sector for reading in the spare area as an end address AE1, and designates the address of staring reproduction in a data area as a reproduction starting address ADS1. The signal processing part 21 reads the data of the replacement sector designated by the starting address AS1 and the end address AE1 from the optical disk 2, and the data of the sector addresses are sequentially read from the designated reproduction starting address ADS1.
