PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starting device capable of forcibly starting an internal combustion engine simply and more reliably. SOLUTION: The starting device 1 for forcibly starting the internal combustion engine from outside is provided with an attachment 2 detachably attached to an intake system 100a of the internal combustion engine, a gas supplying device 3 supplying the intake system 100a of the internal combustion engine with gas as a fuel through the attachment 2, and a control device 5 adjusting a mixing ratio of air to be fed for combustion and gas supplied by the gas supplying device 3 to a target mixing ratio.
