PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase durability of a vane pump by surely preventing a problem of generating excess pressure in a working chamber in relation to improvement of the vane pump mainly used as a vacuum pump. SOLUTION: This pump is provided with an oil passage 11 which opens toward a working chamber 8b under a maximum compression condition before the working chamber 8b in compression process communicates to a delivery port 10, and a check valve 13 which opens at a predetermined pressure and make a communicate of the working chamber to a low pressure side is installed in a middle of the oil passage. When the working chamber gets in an oil compression condition due to oil intrusion to the working chamber, the check valve opens due to high pressure of the working chamber and oil and pressure are released to low pressure side such as an oil pan.
