PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for a columnar foundation improvement body using a steel pile pipe capable of increasing both a bearing force and a strength, efficiently constructing the columnar foundation improvement body, and providing the large bearing force by forming the columnar foundation improvement body to a rather deep position in the ground. SOLUTION: In this method, by using a sideward extending digging blade part 3, a first steel pipe pile 1 having an agitating part 4, and a cement milk supply port 5 which are formed at the distal end of the pile steel pipe 2 and one or a plurality of second steel pipe pile 22 as joint piles, cement milk 17 supplied from the cement milk supply port 5 and sediment 18 cut by the digging blade part 3 are agitated by an agitating part 4 in a process in which the first and second steel pipe piles 1 and 22 are rotatingly press-fitted into the ground 15 while joining these piles. After the piles have been driven, with the steel pipe piles 1 and 22 driven in the ground 15, the mixture 19 of the cement milk 17 with the sediment 18 around the pile steel pipes 2 and 2 is solidified.
