NON-BLOCKING TYPE REINFORCING STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-blocking type reinforcing structure capable of easily carrying out construction work of a reinforcing structure of a footing. SOLUTION: The reinforcing structure is so constituted that sheet piles 1 are only driven into two surfaces opposed to each other as shown in Figures 1 to 3. The sheet piles 1 are driven in parallel with the direction of a bridge girder as shown in Fig. 4. A pier can be thereby prevented from slantly falling sideways thereof like Great Hanshin Earthquake. Two sheet piles 1 are sufficient, and since the sheet piles 1 are not required for connecting them to each other, the construction work is also easily and simply carried out at a low cost. There is no overhead clearance in the case it is shown in Fig. 4. In other word, each sheet pile 1 is driven sideways from the bridge girder, the bridge girder does not exist upward so that a heavy industrial machine can be installed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
