PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide various kinds of synthetic fibers at a lower cost. SOLUTION: The method for producing synthetic fiber comprises drawing a yarn discharged from a spinneret, cooling and solidifying the resultant, taking off with a roller, successively drawing the obtained yarn between rollers and winding up. The taking off roller comprises a drive-rotating main roller and a driven roller set parallelly to the main roller and driven to rotate, wherein the main roller and the driven roller satisfy following relations of formulas (1) to (3); formula (1) is D2≤50 mm, formula (2) is D2≤0.2D1 and formula (3) is L≤D1. Wherein, D1 is the main roller diameter (mm); D2 is the driven roller diameter (mm); and L is the distance (mm) between the main roller axis and the driven roller axis. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
