PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire cleaning device constituted so that the driving time of a motor is easily decided by making the fixed position of a shaft on which a cleaning member is screwed sufficiently constantly. SOLUTION: In the wire cleaning device 53, a shaft 531 is extended nearly in parallel with a long-length wire 522 provided to be stretched in a case, a driving source 533 for driving and rotating the shaft 531 is arranged on one end side of the shaft, stoppers 536 are attached near both ends of the shaft, and the cleaning member 532 moving back and forth in accordance with the rotation of the shaft between the stoppers of the shaft while coming into contact with the wire is attached to the shaft. The device 53 is provided with a driving transmission part 534 between the shaft and the driving source, and the driving transmission part is constituted of a clutch equipped with an input side engaging part 5342 coupled to a driving source side and an output side engaging part 5341 coupled to the shaft side so as to be brought into contact with and to be separated from each other. The clutch is constituted so that a 1st engaging part and a 2nd engaging part can relatively be brought into contact with and be separated from each other and at least either the 1st engaging part or the 2nd engaging part is energized by an energizing member in a direction where they abut on each other.
