PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which prevents lowering of sharpness liable to occur in high-speed copying or in a low temperature and low humidity environment, when an electrophotographic image is formed, therefore prevents lowering of image density due to a potential variation of a solid black image portion and deterioration of sharpness due to letter thinning, in reversal development, and stably obtains a high density and high resolution clear electrophotographic image, and to provide a process cartridge using the electrophotographic photoreceptor, an image forming method and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor contains two or more compounds having an average molecular weight of≤2,500 and different from each other in the value (n) in formula (1).
