PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem, in a conventional sensor holding device, due to the generation of a scraped bone when a sensor is lightly pressed into so as to be fixed, that the sensor cannot be inserted deeply into the sensor holding device due to the influence of the scraped bone, and that not only the positional precision with respect to the up-and-down direction cannot be obtained but also the sensor is inclined. SOLUTION: The sensor holding device is provided with a protruded part on the side surface of the sensor housing part for fixing the sensor, so that the sensor lightly pressed-into is fixed by the engagement. A recessed part is provided under the protruded part on the bottom of the housing part so that the scraped bone generated during the engagement of the sensor is stored. Accordingly, the sensor holding device is obtained, in which the sensor is inserted so as to abut against the bottom surface, and can be fixed, while suppressing the backlash.
