PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimally record images without generating unevenness in exposure of a photosensitive material by restricting floating of the photosensitive material at an exposing position, restricting fluctuation of a carrying load, and reducing fluctuation of the photosensitive material carrying speed. SOLUTION: In this image recording apparatus, a pair of carrying rollers 42 and 44 are arranged in front and rear of the exposing position to carry the photosensitive material by nipping it. Presser rollers 50B and 50C of presser members for restricting the floating quantity of the photosensitive material within the depth, wherein exposure is necessary, by pushing the photosensitive material to the top surface of a flatter guide 48. This image recording apparatus can record images in the photosensitive material without generating unevenness of exposure in the photosensitive material by restricting the floating quantity of the photosensitive material within the depth, wherein exposure is necessary, at the exposing position by pressing the photosensitive material with the pair of carrying rollers 42 and 44 at positions close to the exposing position in comparison with the nipping position.
