The invention is characterized in that the controlled displacement of the roof between a closed position and the retracted position thereof causes displacement of the rear cover structure (10) and/or part of the passenger compartment such that said rear cover structure (10) and/or passenger compartment part allows the roof panel (6) and guiding means (16) to be displaced.
