The fuel valve assembly (1) for internal combustion engines has a housing (2) in which a movable valve component (3) is preloaded in the open position in relation to a valve seat (10) by a first spring (11). A second movable valve component (15) with an associated valve seat (17) is located in the housing and preloaded in the closed position by a second spring (16). The two directions of the preloading of the valve components with regard to the longitudinal direction of the housing are orientated in the same direction. An independent claim is included for fuel injection system for an internal combustion engine incorporating the aforesaid fuel valve assembly.
