A screw carbonizing oven capable of carbonizing carbonized matter by heating while gradually conveying the carbonized matter by screw conveyors (4), comprising the plurality of screw conveyors (4) generally horizontally installed in a heating tank (A) and connection chutes (5) for connecting the adjacent upper and lower stage screw conveyors to each other in the heating tank, the connection chutes (5) further comprising insert holes (11, 14) slightly larger than the coats of the conveyors for slidably inserting one end parts of the coats of the upper and lower stage screw conveyors (4a and 4b; 4b and 4c; or 4c and 4d) and a passage for dropping the carbonized matter from the upper stage screw conveyor to the lower stage screw conveyor (from 4a to 4b, 4b to 4c, or 4c to 4d), whereby when the connection chutes for connecting the screw conveyors of the screw carbonizing oven are installed in the heating tank, a structure allowing the thermal expansion of the screw conveyors and disassembly and inspections to be easily performed.
