1-(2-Methoxyethyl)-2-methyl-4,9-dioxo-3-(pyrazin-2-ylmethyl)-4,9-dihydro-1H- naphtho[2,3-d]imidazol-3-ium bromide and its crystal. In particular, .alpha. - type and .beta.-type crystals thereof do not exhibit moisture absorption and excel in stability, so that these are useful as basic ingredients for medici ne production. Among them, the .beta.-type crystal is more stable and is extremely useful as a basic ingredient for medicine production.
