FIELD: iron and steel industry. ^ SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a slag-forming mix for continuously cast steel, it is dealt with iron and steel industry and may be used at continuously casting steel production. The technical result is an improvement of quality of a continuously casting ingot surface at the expense of an increase of assimilative capability of a slag-forming mix with respect to the oxides emerging from metal in the initial moment of casting. The slag-forming mix contains (in mass %): a carboniferous material - 8-12, a fluorine-bearing material - 20-24, a lump silicate - 19-23, a datolite concentrate - 17-23, a material based on silicon oxides - 3-9, cement - the rest. ^ EFFECT: an improvement of quality of a continuously casting ingot surface due to slag-forming mix increased assimilative capability in respect to oxides. ^ 1 tbl, 3 ex |
