PURPOSE:To recover a degradated developer without necessitating a complicated operation. CONSTITUTION:A screw is removed and a recording material carrying belt 8 is pulled out ahead of a device main body together with a recording material carrying belt supporting body 10. A recovery container 104 is attached to the rear part of the supporting body 10 and pushed into the rear of the device main body. Thus, the projection M of the recovery container 104 butts against a core positioning plate 99 and the recovery container 104 is positioned in the lower side of the recovering hole R of the bottom part of a developing device. In such a state, a lever 103 is pulled front to open a shutter 101. Then, a developing sleeve 42 and a developer stirring/carrying screw are rotated/driven to recover a developer D in the recovery container 104. When the discharge of the developer D is completed, the lever 103 is pushed to close the shutter 101. Thereafter, the supporting body 10 is pulled out from this side, the recovery container 104 is removed upward and the recording material carrying belt 8 is pushed back into the device main body together with the supporting body 10 for the belt 8 to fix the lever 103 by the screw. |
