PURPOSE:To produce the rigid polyurethane foam having a low density, excellent in heat insulation and useful as, e.g. a heat insulator for a refrigerator by adding a specific surfactant to a polyol component, a specific foaming agent, a catalyst, a foam stabilizer and an isocyanate component, stabilizing the premix liquid and preventing scattering of the foaming agent. CONSTITUTION:This foam is produced by adding (F) a surfactant, e.g., a surfactant of formula II [R is an alkyl(phenyl); R' is H or a 1 to 19C alkyl; (a) and (b) are each an average number. a >=0, b>=0 and a+b>=1], an alkylarylsulfonic acid salt, an alkyl-sulfuric acid ester salt or an (alpha-olefinsulfonic acid salt to (A) a polyol component, (B) a foaming agent (e.g. butane) composed mainly of a saturated hydrocarbon having <=85 deg.C boiling point under the ordinary pressure, (C) a catalyst such as triethylamine, (D) a foam stabilizer such as a compound of formula I and (E) an isocyanate component. |
