Process for crosslinking an acrylate hot melt adhesive with water comprises coating the hot melt adhesive to be crosslinked on a rotating roller (1) provided with a contact medium (31) consisting of at least 50 % water, and transferring the hot melt adhesive onto a support material (5) after contact with the contact medium on the roller. An independent claim is also included for a device for carrying out the process.
