In-situ method for repairing a thermal barrier coating

A thermal barrier coating in-situ repairing composition comprises a paste of a ceramic material in a binder material. The ceramic material comprises solid zirconia particles and the binder material comprises a silicone compound. The binder material yields a repair coating that covers a surface area of the component upon heating. The silicone compound promotes the bonding of the solid zirconia particles. An independent claim is included for a method of preparation of the composition.
