The data bus (18) connects a processor circuit (16) to a sensor circuit (10) and an actuator circuit (30). The processor circuit contains a processor connected to an interface for the sensor circuit (22) and an interface for the actuator circuit (24). The sensor and actuator circuits have interfaces (146,346) connected to controllers (144,344). The controllers are connected to data stores (148,348) and analog/digital (142) and digital/analog (342) converters respectively. The converters are connected to a sensor (12) and an actuator (32).
