Locking device for the rear bench of an automotive vehicle

The device has pliers integrated to its rear face, where pliers have a mobile jaw cooperating with a fastening unit on a plate (26) to lock a back rest (12) longitudinally. The plate is fixed to a lateral unit of case structure of a luggage space. The plate has a mobile bolt (30) which is liable to be actuated from the space to immobilize the jaw of the pliers in locking position of the back rest on the fastening unit.
