FIELD: treatment and finish of rolled strips, steel bands in particular. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes patenting of metal, cooling by flushing with water, coating with wax and drying with hot air. At content of carbon in manganese steel of 0.26-0.35%, band is subjected to electrochemical pickling after patenting and flushing in 16-% solution of sulfuric acid; then, metal is additionally washed with cold water and dried at temperature of about 300 C; then, hot band is passed through bath filled with water-wax emulsion for 1-3 s and movable parts are wiped with rubber gaskets; protective inhibitor water-wax compound may be used as emulsion; after waxing, band is wiped with felt and rubber gaskets. ^ EFFECT: improved quality of band; low cost of process. ^ 3 cl, 1 ex |
