PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parallel transmission system where parallel digital signals of a plurality of lines can be sent with a comparatively simple configuration while compensating skew caused between data transmission lines. SOLUTION: A transmitter 1 inserts a synchronization pattern of a data part over a plurality of lines in the case of sending idle cells whose data part includes no data, and superimposes an idle cell display signal indicating transmission of idle cells on a cell synchronizing signal denoting a head of the cells, and transmits the resulting cell to a cell synchronization line 5. A receiver 2 generates a synchronization pattern position signal based on a point of time of detection when detecting the idle cell display signal from the cell synchronization line 5, and delays individually cells received by each of data transmission lines 41-4n so that a bit corresponding to the synchronization pattern is outputted synchronously with a clock signal obtained from the clock transmission line 3 when a synchronization pattern position signal is generated. |
