The liquid level measuring system has a float (8) which follows the surface of the liquid in a container. It hangs from a wire (7) wound round a reel (6) with a spiral spring (20) and a reduction gear (4,9,9a) inside a housing and driving a pointer (3) moving over a dial (19). A permanent magnet (10) is used with a GMR (Giant Magneto-Resistive) sensor (12) on a carrier (14) inside a large nut (15) acting as a housing. An electrical cable (16) connects the GMR sensor to a display (17) with LED's (Light Emitting Diodes 18) adjacent to engraved numbers for given amounts of fluid in tank. |
