Dynamic coverage and capacity solution for cellular radio network

摘要

Each cell in the cellular communication system is defined by coverage layer and capacity layer. A carrier signal is transmitted from the coverage layer at a power level such that the carrier is received by mobile station located anywhere in the cell. The power level of the carrier in the coverage layer and the number of carriers in the capacity layer are made variable. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) method of configuring a cellular communication system; and (2) base station.
