FIELD: electrical engineering; controlling power conditions of steel-smelting arc furnaces. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed device has arc current sensor and arc voltage sensor inserted in each phase, their outputs being connected to inputs of comparison unit whose output is connected through amplifier to input of electrode displacement gear; all these components constitute electromechanical circuit for controlling electrode position; it also has operating coordinate regulator whose first input is connected to output of this coordinate sensor, and its output is connected through reactor inductive reactance adjustment unit to input of this reactor inserted in primary circuit of furnace transformer. Device also has arc power sensor whose inputs are connected to arc voltage sensor output and its output, to second input of operating coordinate regulator; arc voltage sensor, operating coordinate regulator, operating coordinate selector, reactor inductive reactance adjustment unit, and reactor proper constitute fast-response arc-power control circuit. ^ EFFECT: improved dynamic and static precision of arc power control, reduced dispersion of arc active and reactive power, current, and supply voltage. ^ 1 cl, 3 dwg |
