Ambidextrous capillary-fillable test strip

A test strip (100) comprises analytical portion, two opposed edges (110, 114) with edge indentations including sample application region (112, 116), and two capillary channels. The two channels provide fluid communication between the sample application regions of respective edge indentation and a reagent pad of analytical portion. The analytic portion and channels are disposed between base portion (102) and an upper portion (104). An independent claim is included for a strip and meter combination for detecting an analyte in a liquid sample.
