PURPOSE: An expandable plastic molded product is provided, to improve refractory property without the deterioration of impact absorbing property, moldability, processability and heat insulation by adding an organic refractory diaphragm forming agent and/or an inorganic refractory diaphragm forming agent. CONSTITUTION: The expandable plastic molded product is prepared by adding an organic refractory diaphragm forming agent and/or an inorganic refractory diaphragm forming agent during the process for foaming or molding an expandable plastic resin or the process for melt welding molding the foamed bead, and foaming the plastic resin by using a heat source. Preferably the organic refractory diaphragm forming agent is at least one selected from the group consisting of a melamine resin, a urea resin, a phenol resin, a furan resin, an epoxy resin, an unsaturated polyester resin, a resorcin resin, dicyandiamide, a polyol, chlorinated paraffin, dipentaerythritol and their derivative; and the inorganic refractory diaphragm forming agent is at least one selected from the group consisting of a silicate or modified silicate such as sodium silicate, potassium silicate, lithium silicate, etc., a phosphate such as phosphoric acid, sodium phosphate, aluminum phosphate, etc., a sol-based compound such as silica sol, alumina sol, etc., boric acid, borax, perborate, metaborate, borohydride, borate, and low melting point frit.
