PURPOSE: An ascending and descending battery tray is provided to prevent user's injury and to improve easiness in removing and mounting the battery. CONSTITUTION: An ascending and descending battery tray comprises a bottom plate(110) fixed to a vehicle body, an ascending and descending plate(120) ascending from the bottom plate, and a lifting and lowering unit for lifting and lowering the ascending and descending plate. A battery installed in an engine room of a vehicle is mounted on the battery tray. The lifting and lowering unit comprises a pair of first levers(130), a pair of second levers(140), at least one roller, and a moving member(160). One side of the first lever is hingably fixed to the bottom plate by a rotating shaft(132). The second lever is connected to the first lever by a central shaft. The rollers each connect the upper ends of the first lever and second lever and support the lower end of the ascending and descending plate. The moving member is connected to a side of the second lever. The moving member moves the second lever in the horizontal direction according to the rotation of a rotating grip(150). The ascending and descending battery tray includes a guide for fixing the horizontal position of the moving plate.
