PURPOSE: A portable electronic stethoscope is provided to achieve improved portability by making the stethoscope into a ballpoint pen type, while allowing for a remote diagnosis. CONSTITUTION: A portable electronic stethoscope comprises a barrel portion(20) serving as a main body of the stethoscope; a vibration sensing member(1) arranged in the barrel portion; an amplifying member arranged in the barrel portion, wherein the amplifying member converts the vibration sensed by the vibration sensing member into an electrical signal and amplifies the electrical signal; a battery(12) for supplying power; a memory(10) for storing the signal processed by the amplifying member; an analysis member(9) for diagnosing pulse rates and heart disease by analyzing the photo cardiogram through the use of the signal output from the amplifying member or the signal stored in the memory; an LCD(8) for displaying, in characters or graphical representation, the signal output from the amplifying member or analysis member; and a speaker(7) for generating sound from the signal amplified by the amplifying member.
