摘要 PURPOSE: A method for driving an electric optical device, an electric optical device, and an electronic equipment are provided to suppress brightness spot in vertical direction due to a change of pixel electrode electric potential of each pixel. CONSTITUTION: An electric optical element is formed between two substrates. A thin film transistor is formed at each pixel arranged in matrix shape corresponding to cross parts of a plurality of scanning lines and a plurality of signal lines. A positive data signal(11) and a negative data signal(13) are alternately written at each pixel through the thin film transistor every one frame. After writing one of the positive data signal and the negative data signal, a non-data signal(12,14) having the same polarity as the written data signal and having the maximum voltage is written at the pixel. After writing the non-data signal, the data signal having the polarity different from the data signal written at the previous frame is written at the pixel.
