PURPOSE: A fuel cell adapter system of a combustion tool is provided to protect a fuel cell from dusts and fragments while using a fuel cell adapter, and to prevent the leakage of fuel by retaining the aligned combination between a fuel cell outlet pipe and a tool fuel metering valve nipple during inserting or removing the fuel cell from the tool. CONSTITUTION: In a fuel cell adapter system for a combustion tool, an insert seal for an adapter(16) which is connected to a fuel cell(14) having an outlet pipe(52) is engaged with a combustion tool fuel metering valve having a nipple. The insert seal is composed of a body for limiting a central passage and having a first end sealed together with the outlet pipe and a second end sealed together with the nipple and a flange portion attached at the second end to flow the fluid through the passage. The diameter of the flange portion is larger than the body. The fuel cell adapter is connected to the fuel cell, combined with the combustion tool fuel metering valve, and composed of a base(22) joined with the fuel cell and an adapter body(18) having a nozzle(20) linked to the base. The adapter body limits a chamber receiving the outlet pipe and the nipple. The insert seal is received in the chamber.
