DEVICE FOR CLEANING ROLL IN STRIP GRINDER BY AUTOMATICALLY REMOVING SWARF FROM BILLY ROLL

PURPOSE: A device for cleaning a roll in a strip grinder is provided to improve productivity by automatically removing swarf from a billy roll and a brake roll without stopping the strip grinder. CONSTITUTION: In a strip grinder, a brush roll(12) is rotatably installed at a shaft(11) disposed between a billy roll(3) and a brake roll(7), and moves up and down. A position changing unit(20) rotates the shaft so that the brush roll approaches the billy roll or the brake roll. A roll contact unit(30) moves the brush roll up and down by the operation of cylinders(31) installed between the shaft and the brush roll, and controls the contact of the brush roll and the rolls. A roll rotating unit(40) rotates the brush roll to clean the rolls.
