LGP HAVING OPTICAL POLARIZING MEMBER AND SIDE LIGHT EMITTING TYPE BACKLIGHT DEVICE

PURPOSE: An LGP(Light Guide Panel) having an optical polarizing member and a side light emitting type backlight device are provided to polarize light which progresses in the LGP and reduce an azimuth. CONSTITUTION: An LGP(110) has a light incident surface(112) in which light is incident and a light radiating surface(115) crossed with the light incident surface. The light is radiated in the light radiating surface. A CCFL(Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp)(120) projects the light to the light incident surface. An optical polarizing member(150) vertical to the light radiating surface has the first and second surfaces. The first and second surfaces are faced each other centering around a normal line vertical to the light incident surface, and are widened each other toward an opposite surface faced with the light incident surface from the light incident surface. The optical polarizing member has at least one of the light radiating surface and a surface faced with the light radiating surface.
