PURPOSE: A structure, an apparatus and a method for selecting a menu of a slide type mobile terminal are provided to allow a user to select and set multiple stages of operation modes by sensing a distance that a slide part of a mobile terminal is moved. CONSTITUTION: When a controller of a mobile terminal detects a current(S100), it determines whether the current is a pre-set first stage of current(S110). If the first stage of current flows for a certain time, the controller generates an alarm message informing that a slide part of the mobile terminal is opened(S120). The controller determines whether an inputted current value is a second stage current value(S130). If the second stage current value continues for a certain time, an automatic response menu is set up and operated(S140). The controller determines whether an inputted current value is a third stage current value. If the third stage current value continues for a certain time(S150), a communication mode as set is operated(S160). The controller determines whether a fourth stage current value is inputted(S180). If the fourth stage current value continues for a certain time, a multimedia communication as set is operated(S190). |
