PURPOSE: A receiver, and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to expand an area for filtering impurities included in a flowing heat exchange medium by installing a filter unit of a double-layer structure, thereby effectively removing impurities. CONSTITUTION: A receiver(300) includes a receiver tank(310) having inlet pipes(321,322) and an outflow pipe(323) and a filter stopper(311), upper and lower end caps(330,340) hermetically sealing upper and lower ends of the receiver tank, a drying agent unit(360) inserted into the receiver tank, and a filter unit(370) installed under the drying agent unit. The filter unit includes a frame(371) having a flange part(372), an upper filter part(373) formed at the frame upward the flange part, and a lower filter part(374) formed at the frame downward the flange part.
