SIMPLIFIED METHOD FOR ANALYSIS OF CHEMICAL OXYGEN DEMAND WHICH IS APPLIED TO ANALYSIS OF CONSUMPTION OF PERMANGANATE

PURPOSE: A simplified method for analysis of chemical oxygen demand is provided, thereby simply and easily analyzing the chemical oxygen demand in the field, and being applied to analysis of consumption of permanganate. CONSTITUTION: The method for producing powdered reagents for analysis of chemical oxygen demand comprises mixing 1 to 15 wt.% of permanganate as an oxidizing agent, 700 to 2500 wt.% of alkali sulfide as an metal oxide formation-inhibiting agent, and alkali group of hydroxide. The simplified method for analysis of chemical oxygen demand comprises the steps of: inserting the powdered reagents for analysis of chemical oxygen demand into a vessel to prepare a simplified analysis kit; introducing a sample into the simplified analysis kit; and measuring the color change of the kit.
