PURPOSE: A current collector for a cathode of a lithium-sulfur battery, a cathode of a lithium-sulfur battery containing the collector and a lithium-sulfur battery containing the cathode are provided to prolong the cycle life of the resulted battery. CONSTITUTION: The current collector for a cathode of a lithium-sulfur secondary battery comprises transition metals selected from Mo, Ti, Fe, Zn, Ag and Au. The current collector has a thickness of 1-15micrometers. The cathode of a lithium sulfur battery comprises: the current collector; a cathode active material comprising elemental sulfur or a sulfur compound and being coated onto the current collector; an electroconductive material; and a binder. The lithium-sulfur battery comprises: the cathode; an anode comprising a material which can reversibly conduct the intercalation or deintercalation of lithium ions, a material which can reversibly form a lithium containing compound by reacting with lithium ions and an anode active material selected from lithium metals and lithium alloy; and electrolytes comprising an organic solvent and electrolyte salts.
