PURPOSE: A USB VoIP phone call device using a payment terminal function therein is provided to enable a purchaser to request a direct payment by using a smart card connected to a USB VoIP phone. CONSTITUTION: A keypad(250) consists of various keys. A CODEC(270) decodes digital data to convert into an analog signal, outputs the analog signal to a speaker of a handset, and codes an analog voice signal received through a microphone of the handset into digital data, then outputs the digital data to a USB interface(220). A card reader(300) reads an inserted electronic cash and an electronic credit card, and exchanges smart card information. A memory unit(260) has a control program for executing an Internet call and a smart card payment process. A controller(210) generates call connection request data by receiving the control program to output the data to the USB interface(220), executes the Internet call by controlling the CODEC(270), controls a processing of the read smart card information, and outputs the processed smart card information to the USB interface(220). The USB interface(220) conducts a transmitting/receiving interface with a computer for the smart card information and the digital signal.
