<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semitransmissive liquid crystal display device that prevents a light leak in an active area periphery in a reflection display mode without adding a black resist forming process of a color filter process. <P>SOLUTION: This transmissive liquid crystal display device is constituted by forming an array group of protrusions on a glass substrate 2, coating the arrayed group of protrusions with a translucent film 19 having light passing holes, and forming color filters 6 by pixels. This semitransmissive liquid crystal display device has a plurality of colored layers (red colored layer, green colored layer, and blue colored layer), made different in coloration from one another, in plane and color filters are formed even at the peripheral part of the active area to form peripheral part light blocking parts. Then the transmissive liquid crystal display device has an overcoat layer 7 and a transparent electrode 8 formed and also has an alignment film 8 formed on the transparent electrode 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
