SUPPORT FOR LITHOGRAPHIC PRINTING PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support for a lithographic printing plate which has a high strength, a sufficient plate wear resistance, suitable stiffness, flexibility to improve conveyability and which improves a printing quality and particularly a surface quality and a completion of printing.

SOLUTION: This lithographic printing plate includes a print image forming layer provided on a support coating polyolefin resin on both surfaces of base paper. A thickness unevenness index PY value of the support in a longitudinal direction (MD) is 2.50 or less. A tear index of the MD of the support is 5.0 mN m2/g or higher. Clarke stiffness of the MD of the base paper is in a range of 45 to 100.
