PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gradient transition point finding program that can automatically and effectively obtain the gradient transition points. SOLUTION: This program finds the gradient transition point 1 of an inclined ground having a prescribed cross section by using the gradient and the height of the slope as the parameters. It operates a computer by using a triangle moving means 4 which moves an evaluation right triangle 2, whose horizontal line consists of the side of the right angle decided by the above parameters from down to upward with certain spacing along the upper side of the above cross section using the crossing point of the oblique line and the horizontal line as the detection point 3; and a detecting means 5 which calculates the buried relation of the oblique line of the evaluation right triangle 2 in the cross section, and decides the position of the detection point 3 as the rolling gradient transition point 1A when the whole of the oblique line of the evaluation triangle 2 comes inside the cross section.
