A device and a method for improved control for delivery and recording of a live stream from a tuner-received content server to a client. A tuner control instance that executes the streaming delivery of a tuner-received content under control of a tuner and a storage unit control instance that executes recording of a tuner-received content under control of a content storage unit such as a hard disk are set independently. A channel list URL and a video capsule URL that are content URLs by which a processing control object can be identified, and a control instance ID that is the identifier of a control instance (AVT instance) are set respectively in those instances to receive requests from the client individually. This configuration makes it possible to perform an independent processing in response to a request from the client.
