PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF DIALKYL 3-OXOGLUTARATES
摘要
Preparation of diethyl/dimethyl-3-oxoglutarate (I) involves reacting citric acid, or its monohydrate, with chlorosulfonic acid (C1) in a lower chlorinated aliphatic hydrocarbon (H1), followed by reaction with methanol/ethanol. The volume ratio of (H1):(C1) is 0.1:1 - 1:1 and the rate of addition of citric acid is 1 - 2 kg/minute.
